Mission

The mission of the College of Nursing at The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College (UTB/TSC)is to provide high quality nursing education for the students and to provide opportunities for life-long learning for nurses.

The College of Nursing offers certificates and associate, bachelor’s and graduate degrees providing students the opportunity to become competent, caring nurses by following a seamless educational path.

Recognizing the diversity and uniqueness of the community that it serves, the College of Nursing is committed to the enhancement of the quality of health care through excellence in teaching, research, service, continuing education and the promotion of evidence-based practice.
