What is STEPS?

It is the Science and Techonology Educational Partnership for Success, a federally funded grant designed to increase the number of Hispanic, low-income students enrolling in and attaining bachelor's degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields, also known as STEM fields.

Does the STEPS Program offer assistance with the transfer process?

The STEPS project is designed to address the needs of students on partner campuses TSTC-Harlingen, STC-McAllen and Del Mar College and to facilitate the smooth transition of students into bachelor degree programs at UTB.

Does STEPS provide financial aid?

No. all services, including our academic refresher classes, are free to qualified students, we do not provide financial aid assistance for college, university or technical school. We can, however, help you with the financial aid application process.
