Early Medical School Acceptance Program

Student's interested in applying for one of the early acceptance programs listed should contact us or stop by Life Health Science Building (LHSB) 2.822, Biology Wing, for an appointment or to register as a pre-early acceptance student and ensure all requirements are met on time.

The Early Medical School Acceptance Program (EMSAP) targets graduating high school students. EMSAP is designed to allow motivated high school to students the opportunity to apply and interview for medical school at UTMB Galveston.  EMSAP students will receive conditional acceptance to UTMB Galveston upon successful completion of four years as an undergraduate and graduation at UTB/TSC. ESAMP students participate in Summer Enrichment programs designed to help them prepare for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) and take part in clinical rotations. The Office of Premedical Education Programs will offer prep courses and guidance in an effort to help the students successfully complete the admission criteria.

Applying for any early acceptance program will require dedication and commitment on the part of the student.

See Pre-med Track under the Advising page to ensure you are following the suggested course sequence and have completed the required courses to successfully score well on the MCAT.
