UTB Engineering Summer Bridge Program
The summer bridge program is an introduction and preparation for an Engineering career in UT-Brownsville.
The successful completion of this program will enable you to start taking courses towards your Bachelors degree in Engineering during your first semester in College.

Calculus l Readiness Summer Workshop - Free preparation for Calculus. Pre-test: Saturday June 29, 2013. Workshop: July 1 – 12, 2013. Post-test: Saturday July 13, 2012. For more Information and how to apply, click on Calculus Readiness Workshop.

What the summer bridge program will do
- Engineering Math — prepares you for calculus and Engineering application of the math you know.
- Engineering History — provides the opportunity to learn how the Aztecs built a city on a lake; how the Romans built roads, aqueducts, baths, and the Coliseum; how the Egyptians built pyramids and pumped water; how Carthage invented indoor plumbing; how Greece built a dominant Navy; how the Mayans built a huge empire, and much more.
- Engineering Practice — participate in projects and “fly” a plane in the wind tunnel. Participate in renewable energy projects.
- Field trips – visit the PUB electric power plant, the airport and air museum and more.
