for high school students
The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College allows eligible high school students to enroll in UTB/TSC courses while attending high school, and permits them to take courses in place of, or in addition to, the normal course load at their high school in its Dual Enrollment Program. High school students must be eligible to participate in these programs to receive UTB/TSC credit. In addition, high school students admitted into these programs must meet the same requirements as all other UTB/TSC students. UTB/TSC credit earned upon successful completion of the course may be applied toward a postsecondary degree at UTB/TSC or may transfer to other colleges and universities.
Working in collaboration with school districts and high school personnel, UTB/TSC invites well-qualified high school juniors and seniors to enroll in the Dual Enrollment Program. Students participating in Dual Enrollment receive both high school and university credit, as determined by the policy of the student's high school.
