Medical Records and Mobile Computing
Abstract: Mobile Computing has become a pervasive reality. These small devices can eliminate the use of larger devices and clutter of paper work. Tracking, organizing and keeping medical records on paper can be simplified by doing electronic. Creating an Android application can allow multiple users to view the same file at different locations, add media, and have quick access to these files. The current technological challenges, opprtunities and developments in the field of mobile computing for medical records will be addressed in this talk.
Presenter: Ismael Hinojosa, Graduate Student at the University of Texas at Brownsville. Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2006 and worked as a math teacher for three years then returned to continue studies in computer science under the direction of Dr. Iglesias.
