The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is now accepting applications for admission into the program for the Doctor in Education (Ed. D. Degree) in Curriculum & Instruction. In Fall of 2015 we plan to offer the degree with specializations in Bilingual Studies, Educational Technology, Mathematics Education, Science Education, Early Childhood, and Higher Education Teaching.
The Application Procedures Booklet that includes Information on the Application process and on documentation that needs to be submitted, are now available for applying to the program in this Website under Forms and Applications. Complete applications must be received prior to midnight on May 1, 2015, online www.applytexas. Other listed documentation has to be uploaded with the application or submitted to the UTRGV Graduate College in order to be considered for the cohort that is scheduled to begin fall semester 2015. Applications received after May 1, 2015 will be reviewed for admission to the Spring 2016 cohort.
Faculty Selection Committees from the College of Education will review all complete applications. All applicants will be notified of their selection status on June 1, 2015. Final candidates will be invited for an interview and writing of a reaction paper on campus.
