Welcome to the Behavioral Sciences Department at the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. We are happy that you are visiting our website. The study of behavior is very popular in the United States. In our department you can study Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work. Our department offers courses leading to the Associate of Arts degree in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts degree in either Psychology or Sociology. Additionally, our department offers graduate courses that lead to the Master of Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Sociology.

Our department is comprised of full time and adjunct faculty that have a wealth of scholarly and practical experience in their respective fields. We are dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of students interested in the behavioral sciences.
