health disparities research
"The RIMI program, through its efforts to include all departments and colleges within the University, provides enrichment opportunities for junior faculty to maintain a research focus at a teaching institution. This program has facilitated my research career by improving the research infrastructure at UTB with staff support and with seminars about grant writing both on campus and at other institutions. The RIMI grant supported bringing a collaborator to UTB/TSC to share her work promoting obesity prevention for Hispanic families and to continue this collaboration to provide guidance for my program of research that aims to benefit families in the Rio Grande Valley." - Anne Rentfro, Ph.D., R.N.
