Biomaterials approaches for cancer therapy and tissue engineering.
Freshman Research Initiative (FRI)
Director of the Health Disparities Scholars Program

Dr. Chew research interest is biomedical approaches for local controlled delivery of drugs for the treatment of cancer and tissue engineering. She is also interested in the application of biomaterials in the design of 3D culture systems to better study and test therapeutics for cancer. She has experience in designing biodegradable composite systems (non-viral gene delivery vectors, nano- and micro- particles and biodegradable scaffolds) for drug delivery and studying the potential of small molecule inhibitors for the treatment of melanoma and prostate cancer.

Postdoctoral Associate, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX
