Equipment available to Student Organizations
The Office of Student Life provides several pieces of equipment for use by student organizations. There is a form that must be filled out for use all of these items. Please contact The Office of Student Life for the complete list of equipment and the requirements for usage. Audio and visual equipment for organization events is available through Media Services. Please contact Media Services at 882-8963. Registered organizations may submit Work Orders through Physical Plant for trash receptacles, tables and chairs, platforms, etc. Charges will apply for these services
Using tables to promote your organization is a popular option for student organizations. Tables can be used to display literature, disseminate information, raise money and for other forms of expression. Any outdoor location (except for the Main Mall) and any large, open, indoor location can be appropriate for tables, provided that the tables do not disrupt other university functions or interfere with pedestrian or vehicular traffic. Please consult with the Office of Student Life staff members for ideas and information about appropriate locations to place tables on campus. Student organization members must:
- display a sign or literature that identifies the student organization sponsoring the table; be responsible for cleaning up any litter at the end of each day; and staff the table by a member of the sponsoring organization at all times.
Off-campus individuals may not staff a table at any time.
Student organizations can supply their own tables or use tables provided by the university. University tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis through the Physical Plant by reservation. The Office of Student Life has a limited amount of tables available also on a first come first serve basis by reservation. Please provide at least two week notice on all requests for tables in order to guarantee tables will be available. Please keep in mind tables are constantly being requested, and you must give your organization ample time to request these items to guarantee they will be available.
The Office of Student Life has a limited number of A-frames available for student organizations to use. A-frames promote their group, disseminate information, and allows them to engage in other forms of expression. Student organizations can use this resource by filling out an application at the Office of Student Life (Student Union, room 2.28). Active organizations in good standing can be approved for use of A-frames for five days at a time if available. A-frames may be renewed for an additional five days if available.
An A-frame is a movable and self-supporting sign board designed to stand on the ground. The A-frames can be displayed in different areas around the campus.

Student organizations are responsible for set up and removal of the A-frame daily and returning it to the Office of Student Life on the expiration date. If the structure is not returned, the organization will be reprimanded by the Office of Student Life.
Types of reprimands include:
~ the student organization will be barred from room reservations.
~a hold will be put on the organization’s account.
~officially registered status will be suspended
