Veteran’s Counseling
The following counseling services are available for all veterans:
- Treatment for PTSD (depression, anxiety, paranoia, sleeping disorders)
- Family problems
- Adjustment to reintegration into civilian life
- Alcohol/substance abuse
- Provision of supportive group counseling where interested students can share and discuss their experiences, while providing a safe setting for the expressions of feelings associated with those experiences
Other services:
- Assistance with accessing entitlements for both veteran students and their families
- Finding Housing
- Advocacy with Judicial system for those incarcerated due to minor violations or to alcohol/substance abuse
Female Veteran’s Counseling
Gender-specific services for female veteran students:
- Counseling services for those who have been sexually assaulted
- Counseling with problems regarding reunification with partner and children
- Post traumatic stress disorders
- Counseling for those who have undergone mastectomies (due to war related cancer or war violence)
