Chess Scholarships

A limited number of full or partial competitive scholarships for excellence in chess are available to qualified students.

Criteria for Competitive Scholarships in Chess are:

  • Title (Priority given to title holders in the following order: GM, IM, FM)
  • Rating
  • Tournament history/chess accomplishments (emphasis on international competition)
  • High school grade point average and academic ranking
  • SAT and/or ACT scores
  • References
  • Remaining eligibility

The deadline to apply for Chess Competitive Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year is May 31, 2012.
