Welcome to disability services
The Education You Want. The Services You Need.
At UTB, students with disabilities take an active part in campus life. Many do not need any special assistance, but for those who do, Disability Services is here to help. Our Coordinator works with each student individually to arrange for accommodations, technology training, or other needs. To help meet students' special needs, we coordinate with other campus support services as well as with state agencies such as the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.
Disability Services exists to facilitate students’ equal access to all university programs and services, to promote student learning and development, and to provide leadership to the campus on disability issues.
The goals of the Disability Services Office are to:
- Coordinate academic accommodations and support services
- Foster disability awareness and appreciation of disability as a component of diversity
- Provide institution-wide advisement, consultation and training on disability-related topics
