Attractive and functional spaces on campus are available for rental to accommodate community groups, organizations, businesses and private functions. When planning an event – large or small, for business or something social – consider the many options offered by these facilities that exist on our beautiful campus. These include:
For meeting or celebration, consider the
Student Union. Here, several meeting rooms, a ballroom, and an inviting terrace shaded by jacaranda trees offer spaces to accommodate an intimate gathering of five, an elaborate affair for 500, or anything in between.
The Arts Center, a new and grand facility that has the versatility of offering acoustically superb venues for groups to be used for lectures, recitals and dinners for numbers reaching 150 guests. The second-floor Patron’s Room offers outdoor possibilities with its adjacent balcony that overlooks the campus and Fort Brown Resaca. Another stunning view can be enjoyed in the The Arts Center lobby with its sparking starburst chandeliers, while its 808-capacity main performance hall is equipped with versatile stage options.
The
Jacob Brown Memorial Auditorium has the largest capacity of all campus rental spaces. At 96x114 feet, this hall with a stage has fixed seating as well as versatile ballroom space and has proven to be a favorite for wedding receptions and quinceañeras. Also a part of the Jacob Brown Complex, Stillman Town Hall is the most utilized venue on the property. More intimate than the auditorium, Stillman Town Hall has a stage, ideal for a band. Adjacent to Stillman is the patio, a delightful, shaded area for indoor-outdoor entertaining.
The most versatile of campus facilities for rental purposes is the
International Technology, Education and Commerce Building, where the Central Plaza offers around 10,000 square feet for festivities. This can also be partitioned for smaller groups. Classrooms are excellent rental spaces for conventions, conferences and smaller seminars. There are two extra-large lecture halls, each with a 120-person capacity; classrooms accommodate 90 and 60 persons. Smaller conference/meeting rooms with capacities of 25 and 12 are also available.
If rental needs involve “getting physical,” the
Recreation, Education and Kinesiology (REK) Center might fulfill those needs. Spaces in this 100,000 square-foot facility range from the use of a ping-pong table to a racquetball court to a basketball court. There are conference rooms and multi-purpose fitness rooms, one a mirrored dance studio. Outdoors, a refreshing pool is available, while large-scale field needs can be accommodated with or without stadium lights.
Casa Bella, is home away from home. The facility offers flexible use for events or during a stay with multimedia clubhouse with a fireplace, kitchenette, a small conference room and a pool area. The Great Room serves for more intimate gathering or lectures. Facility rentals have access to a volleyball and basketball court. The apartment complex has a capacity for 450 guests with 103 available rooms.
