Summer Study Abroad Program
Living, Reading, Writing Nature in Costa Rica
May 13-27, 2015

Director: Pamela Herring

Program Description:
The purposes of the program are to enrich our students’ lives through a unique setting on a national wildlife refuge in Costa Rica: Hacienda Baru National Wildlife Refuge. Our students will read their text and be able to see the wildlife, trails and trees talked about in the book. They will see the conservation efforts made by students twenty years ago and know that in twenty years they can come back with their children and show their children what their mother/father experienced while in college. Extensive writing will take place so the students can deeply examine what they are learning and experiencing.
