In our region, transportation is still an issue that hampers many of our students in reaching their academic goals. This month we kick off the Scorpion Metro, which will provide free bus service to all students, faculty and staff members who have a valid university Sting ID card.

               Scorpion Metro

The Scorpion Metro Circulator will travel around the Fort Brown campus with stops every ten minutes. The Scorpion Metro Connector will connect our campus community to ITECC and to the rest of the Brownsville Urban System bus routes throughout the city. The shuttle will operate between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Whether you use the BUS as your sole transportation or as a green alternative, I encourage you to take advantage of this free service.

Happy New Year!
