The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is a standardized entrance exam used by many graduate schools. This exam assesses students’ critical thinking, analytical writing, verbal reasoning, and quantitative reasoning skills. The analytical writing section is generally administered first. The verbal and the quantitative sections may be presented in any order. Results obtained in this exam provide a general idea of how students will perform in graduate programs.
