OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
The primary purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety program is to provide skills training for a safe working, teaching and learning environment.
EH&S is primarily responsible for monitoring the physical environment to ensure that it is safe and in compliance with Texas Health and Safety codes, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and other relevant requirements. Faculty, staff and students are offered safety training on the physical dangers from occupational hazards.
This safety program encompasses office and workplace safety, food safety, incident investigations and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
