Fiscal Year 2014 Purchasing Deadline

Each year we implement a deadline for expending current fiscal year funds in accordance with university policy. This year, the deadline to expend funds for fiscal year 2014 has been extended from July 15, 2014 until Friday, August 1, 2014. We are extending the deadline to make up for the days lost back in April in preparation for migration of data into PeopleSoft.

Travel Warning - Texas DPS, UT System warns against travel to Mexico

The Texas Department of Public Safety has urged all Texans and out of state visitors to avoid traveling to Mexico.

03/09/11: Texas DPS, UT System warns against travel to Mexico during Spring Break
Students at The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College will be on Spring Break from Monday, March 14 to Friday, March 18, 2011. The Texas Department of Public Safety has urged all Texans and out of state visitors to avoid traveling to Mexico during Spring Break.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has urged all Texans to avoid traveling to Mexico during the holidays. The department has received information that drug cartel-related violence continues along the U.S.-Mexico border and in tourist destinations like Acapulco, Cancun and Mazatlan.

09/06/10: Travel Authorization and Reimbursement Form and Instructions
Effective September 6, 2010, the Purchasing Office will simplify the travel processes by implementing the use of the new Travel Authorization and Reimbursement form.
