The campus will remain closed Thursday, July 1 for normal business. Details on the re-opening of the campus will be announced later on Thursday.
NOTE: Some core systems like Scorpion Online and Course Scheduler are taken offline when the campus is evacuated. The systems that remain on include the web site, email servers and blackboard. Core systems will be turned on when the campus is opened. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Alert #6: Hurricane Alex Update

From the UTB/TSC Hurricane Team:

We continue to monitor the movements of Hurricane Alex. At the 4:30 p.m conference call meeting at the State Operations Center of the Texas Department of Public Safety in Austin, very little has changed regarding the storm. Read the latest report on the latest information. 

We are pleased to report that you can now log on to Blackboard and Campus Police telephone number is working. For assistance, please call 956 882-2222. 

Look for updates from the UTB/TSC Office of News and Information and we encourage the campus community to stay informed prior, to and during the storm through area media outlets and the Hurricane Alert page at www.utb.edu/hurricane and at www.utb.edu and by campus e-mail using hurricane@utb.edu.

Depending on the impact of the storm, classes could resume and employees could be called back to work as early as Friday, July 2. All essential personnel called in prior to the resumption of normal business hours should check on the reopening of the campus on the hurricane page.
