Stay informed and keep an eye on Hurricane Ike

The university is operating under normal conditions while continuing to observe the direction of Hurricane Ike. As of now, classes will continue as scheduled.
Ike is a Category 2 hurricane and is about 525 miles east-southeast of Galveston packing winds of near 100 mph. Currently the movement is to the west-northwest.
On the current track, Ike is expected to be a Category 3 when it makes landfall Saturday morning between Matagorda Bay and Freeport.
