eligibility requirements
To be considered for admission into the Dual Enrollment Program, interested High School students must:
- Submit all required paperwork as determined by the university
- Obtain consent from parents or guardians
- Demonstrate college readiness by achieving the minimum passing standards under the provisions of the Texas Success Initiative or demonstrate exemption from TSI requirements
Eligibility Criteria
Seniors-
- Academics: Must display “College Readiness” as prescribed by an approved Texas Success Initiative (TSI) on areas of attempt.
- Technical: 11th grade TAKS (exit level) (Reading and Writing 2200/3 & Math 2200) or attempt Compass or approved TSI exam.
Juniors-
- Academics: Must display “College Readiness” as prescribed by an approved Texas Success Initiative (TSI) on areas of attempt.
- Technical: Commended performance on 10th grade TAKS or attempt Compass or approved TSI exam.
Sophomore-
- Academics: Must pass all sections of the COMPASS or approved Texas Success Initiative (TSI) exam.
- Technical: Achieve passing scores on the Reading and Writing portions of the COMPASS or approved Texas Success Initiative (TSI) exam.
Freshman-
- Academics: Must pass all sections of the COMPASS or approved Texas success Initiative (TSI) exam.
- Technical: Achieve passing scores on the Reading and Writing portions of the COMPASS or approved Texas Success Initiative (TSI) exam.
