  • Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approves a new MA in Psychology.

    Faculty and students in the Behavioral Sciences Department were thrilled with the news that a new Master of Arts degree in Psychology at UTB has been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and will begin Fall 2010. The MA in Psychology will direct students in developing a strong foundation in General Psychology. This new program will provide greater opportunities for students in South Texas to pursue graduate education in psychology.....more.

  • Astronaut Jose M. Hernandez to visit UTB

    BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS –JANUARY 12, 2010- Astronaut Jose M. Hernandez will be the keynote speaker at the 7th Annual NASA Space Science Day Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16 on the Fort Brown Campus of The University of Texas at Brownsville.

    Last August, Hernandez was a member of the Space Shuttle Discovery that traveled to the International Space Station. It was the 128th Shuttle mission and the 30th mission to the ISS... more.
