UPWARD BOUND MATH & SCIENCE
WHAT IS Upward Bound math and science?
The Upward Bound Math and Science Program (UBMS) is a four-year college preparatory program funded by the U.S. Department of Education and sponsored by The University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB). The program is designed to strengthen the math and science skills of participating students. This is done by enhancing math and science knowledge through a project-based learning (PBL) experience which creates an opportunity to explore math and science careers through workshops and field experiences. Those who are selected for participation must be willing to dedicate themselves to hard work and commitment to the program and their education.
