A limited number of full or partial competitive scholarships for excellence in chess are available to qualified students.
Criteria for Competitive Scholarships in Chess are:
- Title (Priority given to title holders in the following order: GM, IM, FM)
- Tournament history/chess accomplishments (emphasis on international competition)
- High school grade point average and academic ranking
- SAT and/or ACT scores
- Remaining eligibility
