PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
As Executive Assistant to the President, Dr. Woods works with the President’s Staff and Executive Team and other administrators to achieve the strategic goals and objectives of the University. She coordinates reporting of strategic concerns and reports with The University of Texas System, State of Texas, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. She serves as a liaison to help the community to access the services of the campus as needed.
Dr. Woods previously served as Assistant to the President where she was primarily responsible for the Research and development of presentations, congressional testimonies, and reports for the president. Assist with faculty, staff, and students’ needs. Prior to joining UTB/TSC, she was at The University of Texas at Arlington where she was an assistant professor in the Department of Communication with classes in organizational and interpersonal communication.
She began her career in higher education more than 20 years ago at Paris Junior College where she served in student affairs as a student advisor and placement advisor. Prior to that she coordinated a grant to help single parents to achieve independence from public welfare programs.
