UTB has created an effective digital environment for students with the implementation of one of the most sophisticated online platforms in higher education. The university’s online platform http://myutb.blackboard.com offers students an online portal with modules and student organization intranet, and a Learning Management System (LMS) providing all courses with synchronous and asynchronous communications tools, including Tegrity Online Class Video Capture and Blackboard Collaborate Desktop Webconferencing. Additionally, UTB offers students and faculty a Content System providing e-Portfolios and a Virtual Hard Drive.
UTB online students receive high quality student services including online student orientation, online tutoring 24/7, test proctoring, helpdesk, and admission and registration information for online courses and programs. UTB offers yearly over 600 online course sections to 8,878 online students for a total of 34,543 Semester Credit Hours. UTB offers 17 online programs: seven master’s degrees, six bachelor’s and four graduate certificates.
