Winter 2012 Commencement
All degree candidates participating in Winter Commencement need to check in at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15 at Garza Gym. Please do not bring personal items such as balloons, bouqets or other gifts as they are not allowed in the seating area. The commencement ceremony will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. at the Mary Rose Cardenas Hall South Lawn.
Regalia
Candidates for graduation are required to purchase the proper regalia from the UTB/TSC Bookstore. No candidate will be permitted to participate without the proper regalia. No alterations to the regalia will be allowed.
Attendance
There is no commencement ceremony for Summer graduates, however all Summer graduates will be invited to participate in the Fall commencement ceremony. All candidates for graduation and Summer graduates will be sent an RSVP letter via email with specific instructions. The RSVP letter will include a request for confirmation of attendance to the ceremony. The RSVP letter will include the date when diplomas will be ready for pick up. Diploma covers can only be issued to graduates during the commencement ceremony and cannot be purchased at a later date.
NOTE: Graduates receiving multiple degrees must sit with the college or school awarding the highest degree. For example: A student receiving an Associate in Arts degree (College of Liberal Arts) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree (College of Science, Mathematics and Technology) must sit with the College of Science, Mathematics and Technology.
