Inclement Weather Information
In case of inclement weather, Spring Commencement will be held in multiple ceremonies at the Student Union’s El Gran Salón. For the first time ever due to space restrictions, graduates will be limited to the number of guests that can attend the ceremonies.
Registration will start an hour and a half before each ceremony.
College of Liberal Arts graduates with last names A-M will graduate at 6 p.m. and those with last names N-Z will graduate at 8:30 p.m., Friday, May. 9, 2014. Each graduate will receive four tickets for their guests.
There will be three ceremonies on Saturday, May. 10th. Registration for all Saturday graduates will take place in the Student Union’s El Comedor and will then be led to their seats before their ceremony begins at El Gran Salón.
- 9 a.m.: College of Science, Mathematics and Technology, College of Nursing and College of Biomedical Sciences and Health Professions
- 11 a.m.: School of Business
- 1 p.m.: College of Education
For Saturday’s ceremonies, each graduate will receive three tickets for their guests.
Overflow viewing for the Friday and Saturday ceremonies will take place at the Life and Health Sciences Building adjacent to the Student Union. There will be signs directing graduates and visitors to designated locations.
Tickets will be given to graduates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May. 8th at the Enrollment Center at The Tower in Main (formerly the Education and Business Complex).
