STEP 1: APPLY FOR READMISSION

There are several convenient ways to apply for readmission to UTB. You can apply online at ApplyTexas or in person at Enrollment Services at The Tower, Main Building, room 1.100.

Academic Fresh Start

If you are a Texas resident, you can apply for undergraduate admission as a returning student without having course credit and grades from college work that you completed 10 or more years ago be considered. This option is known as Academic Fresh Start and is established as part of the Texas Education Code.

Proof of Residency

Submit residency documents (2) to the Admissions Office. Residency status will affect your tuition rate. All residency documents must include your name and address and must be dated 12 months prior to the 1st class day. Examples of proof of residency include:

  • Valid permanent Texas driver’s license or ID card
  • Lease agreement
  • Texas voter registration card
  • Utility bill
  • Texas high school or college transcript
  • Property tax statement or receipt
  • Cancelled check or bank statement
  • Employer statement indicating dates of employment

NOTE: If you are a naturalized citizen or legal resident alien, please provide your naturalization certificate or resident alien card.
